Foundation of Vidraçaria
Founded on July 15, 1980, Vidraçaria Pérola was established in the city of Tubarão, Santa Catarina.
1996
- Expansion
Birth of Vipel
In January 1996, it became Vipel Indústria e Comércio LTDA, with a modern industrial park, supplying tempered glass to glaziers in the region.
2000
- Logistics
Own Fleet
Vipel became the first glass processor in the country to deliver directly to clients with its own fleet.
2001
- Innovation
Horizontal Furnace
In 2001, the company acquired a horizontal tempering furnace, replacing its vertical furnace, and thus adopting the most modern technology for glass tempering.
2004
- Production
EVA Lamination
In 2004, Vipel began the EVA lamination process, expanding production possibilities and offering versatile solutions for construction and decoration projects.
2005
- Pioneering
Curved Tempered Glass
In 2005, Vipel became the first company in Brazil to manufacture curved tempered glass.

PVB Lamination
Also in 2005, Vipel pioneered the installation of the first PVB laminated glass line in Santa Catarina.

Thermoacoustic Line
Still in 2005, an automatic line was launched for the production of thermoacoustic glass.

In 2009, investment was made in the production of screen-printed glass, using screen or roller processes.

Foundation of VIPLOG
In March 2010, the company founded VIPLOG, a logistics operation dedicated exclusively to the Vipel Group.

Entry of ALUMP
Also in March 2010, ALUMP joined the group, specializing in aluminum extrusion, starting with 250 profiles for tempered glass, furniture, industrial, automotive, and construction sectors.

In early 2011, the machining sector was created, producing tools tailored to customer needs.

In 2011, the company expanded its production with a second PVB lamination line.

Library
Strengthening the Community
Vipel has a well-structured library that serves more than 160 company workers and over six thousand people from the community and surrounding areas of São Martinho, including approximately 2,000 students from state and municipal schools.
The vision for the future is focused on educating citizens with diverse knowledge and skills. This initiative encourages the organization’s goal of providing personal and professional learning opportunities for industry employees and the entire community involved in this context.
The space offers workers and the entire community an IT lab with nine computers, a collection of about two thousand titles, including general literature, children’s literature, comic books, as well as free services such as homework assistance, tutoring, and literacy programs for children, youth, and adults.
Environment
Care for the Planet
Also concerned about the environment, Vipel has heavily invested in a water treatment system and the separation of glass powder waste resulting from its industrial processes.
A network of pipelines distributed throughout the industrial unit carries water to the treatment facility, where waste separation occurs. This treatment process uses flocculants that cause the powder to settle, making it easier to remove and store the waste. Through this, Vipel upholds its commitment to the environment, preventing its waste from causing any harm to nature.
